AIRWAY MANAGEMENT MINI-MEGACODES (MMC)

Mini-Megacodes simulate airway emergencies, providing an opportunity to practice decision-making and procedural skills in real-time scenarios. Each MMC challenges participants to apply their knowledge of basic and advanced airway management.

SCENARIOS:

  • Airway Management MMC 1: A 5-year-old with an obstructed airway requiring OPA insertion and basic ventilation techniques.
  • Airway Management MMC 2: An 8-year-old with respiratory failure requiring LMA placement and bag-valve-mask ventilation.
  • Airway Management MMC 3: A 2-year-old in severe distress requiring rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and endotracheal intubation.

These mini-megacodes help develop the skills and confidence needed to manage airway emergencies in pediatric patients effectively.
